eShare's Board Assurance Newsletter

Dear Alister,
meeting
Welcome to the November issue of eShare's Board Assurance Newsletter.

In this issue we will be looking at current industry issues, as well as bringing you all the latest news and developments from eShare.

Postal strike has little impact on Trusts with eShare

For many Health Trusts the current postal strikes have impacted with late papers and an inability to distribute board packs on time, resulting in ineffective or even cancelled meetings.

However, this is not the case for Trusts using eShare: Viv Barnes, Associate Director of Corporate Governance, NHS South East Essex said "we had the reassurance that even if the post was delayed, all our committee members, including NEDs could access the papers they needed in advance of the meeting."

To reduce the risk of delayed or even lost post, some companies have taken the costly route of using courier services to ensure their post arrives safely. eShare however offers a cost-effective and secure solution by eliminating the need to distribute documents by post or email, and removes any necessity to store them locally or as physical papers.

Make SharePoint work for you

A large percentage of Health Trusts now have SharePoint following the enterprise wide agreement with Connecting for Health in May 2004. However, so far few have actually implemented effective solutions on the platform.

SharePoint has the potential to deliver huge benefits. We want to hear your experiences of SharePoint, to build a picture of the state of SharePoint adoption within NHS Trusts. Please click here to ensure your experiences are included in the survey results.

eShare has been developing on the SharePoint platform since its inception, being the first Microsoft partner to be awarded the Microsoft "Software as a Service" competency. eShare is an established and proven Board Assurance tool that is already in use with over 160 clients across Healthcare, Pensions, Education and Charities.

To find out more about eShare and how it could be of benefit to your Trust, please do not hesitate to contact us on 0845 200 7829 or info@eShareUK.com.

Sincerely,
Alister Esam
